It’s Friday. You want to do something different then just sit at home tonight. Your budget is a little tight, so what can you do to make sure that you have a good time without spending too much money? Here are a few ideas that you can check out.
Find Low-Cost Entertainment at College Campuses. There are so many neat things that go on at college campuses that are great to go to. Look on the school’s website: is there a sports event? Special speaker? Concert featuring a female opera singer in New York? Many of these are surprisingly inexpensive or even free.
Consider Going to a Coffee Shop. The culture of the coffee shop is relaxing and fun. The drinks may be a little more than you’re used to, but the time spent together in that environment is priceless.
Like History? If you’re lucky enough to live near a historical area, many of these places have tours, museums, and other inexpensive things to do. Take a look around and explore what you could be doing to learn and have fun at the same time.
What have you always wanted to learn to do? If there’s something you and your significant other have both wanted to learn how to do, why don’t you sign up for a class?
Be creative while staying in. Instead of just lounging in front of the TV, why don’t you pull out the board games? Maybe do a puzzle together? These are fun activities that are a little different than the norm.
Take a trip down Memory Lane. If you do stay at home, why don’t you pull out some of the old photo albums and talk about fun times. These are always good times to reminisce and laugh, and it’s always good for bonding.
